Perinatal and Postnatal study was carried out on Sprague-Dawley eats which have been given the intraorally administered of Elastase(E-005), at dose levels of 1.2㎎/㎏/day, 12㎎/㎏/day and 120㎎/㎏/day for period of 25 days from day 17 of gestation to day 21 of lactation(Segment III).
All the pregnant females in each group allowed to litter naturally, and the postnatal development of the off springs was observed. No changes were observed in all aspects of parameters. The incidence of external, inter nal and skeletal anomalies were not observed in Elastase administration groups and negative control group.
Therefore, Elastase(E-005) caused no effects on per5inatal, postnatal growth.
